It’s an enjoyable movie, but pales in comparison to the original. Nothing changed from the first movie. No continuation of character development. One of the parents is out trying to relive their glory days while the other is left behind with the kids, the superhero’s live in hiding because the world hates supers, and the villain had a bad experience with supers and is now seeking revenge. Except, the villain in this movie is a bad twist reveal, the supporting characters are one dimensional and cheesy, and the main characters have abandoned the key values I first fell in love with. Violet lost all the confidence she built in the first movie, Dash lost his intelligent wit, Mr. Incredible is placed in a subplot, and Mrs. Incredible does the exact thing she accused Mr Incredible of doing. It’s like a bad copy of the first one. Sad.
