Well, I watched the first two seasons, so will I watch the third season? No. In fact, the tone was kinda all over the place. Season 1 had semi-good writing and tackles subjects that I'm sure won insignificant brownie points in some circles but pissed off several more. It was incredibly down the middle, but the performances somewhat elevated that and made it to be a rather entertaining watch. Not a great one, but just tolerable enough to be a 6/10, but it was REALLY close to a 5/10. However... the same can't be said for the second season. Sure, there are SOME good performances out there. Our main leads are doing main lead things, but the side characters? In the first season, most were alright, but in the second season? It was hit or miss unfortunately. I had this sentiment after the first few episodes, but I continued watching the second season for all the wrong reasons. Yes, I said WRONG reasons. Frankly, I am drawn to tragedy, and I wanted to see how this train wreck was going to unfold. I wasn't disappointed as I was treated to not well-thought-out writing that was downright sloppy at times, weird and questionable cinematography that comes across as rather bland in comparison to Season 1, like there were many shots where I just went out loud, "Why on earth was that shot even there??" Many elements felt too ham-fisted and on-the-nose. I know that subtlety was not season 1's strongest suit either, but the things happening in season 2? Yeah, nothing really felt natural or earned. Many times, I just shrugged and said "Because why not?" whenever the "plot" continued. This felt like filler and it was complete nonsense, but a rather entertaining one. It's similar to watching a horrible accident unfold. It's bad, you don't want to see it, but you also can't look away somehow. That was my experience at least. Do I recommend it? No. Not even the first season. I thought the first season was highly serviceable, but with the second season, the viewers are in the unknown territories of filler. The first season didn't show passage of time well and almost each episode felt self-contained. The second season? EVERY episode is interlinked with one another, so it was a bit unsettling as the plot execution is completely different. Was the second season written by a completely different team? Or actually, was there any story to tell in the first place? Many plotholes here and there, and it was a complete waste of time. But I have to be honest, a somewhat entertaining one. Again, I do not recommend this at all. Season 2 gets a 2/10, but overall, it seemed like a 4/10 combined with the rating I gave Season 1, so whatever... But keep in mind that Season 1 felt really close to a 5/10, so 3/10 or 1.5 stars. Oh wait, there's no 3 in this? Then I guess 1 Star as I don't feel generous enough to award 2.
