There are many stories that talk about love but there are very few stories that talk about the love of writers or a love that emerges because of writing. Shayar is a beautiful portray of decency, innocence, serenity and a platonic relation that knows how to maintain loyalty even after embracing all the pain a separation can bring which is the most arduous part of lover's journey. Everything about this film is beautiful, heart touching and ofcourse Sartaj voice is the cherry on top of cake. Geting your emotions hinder everytime when Sartaj speaks out in his poetic language (ofc giving life to the movie title .i.e Shayar itself). His voice, songs,lyrics, expressions along with Neeru's charm adorn this story. After ages someone has thrown light on the concept of literature that is still anonymous for many people today. Obviously the first half will make audience burst out into boisterous laugh and the second half deepens the emotions of every person in the audience. The ending is obviously enigmatic coz it carries a mind-boggling twist . One must watch it just to appreciate all the beautiful words presented by many shayars and shayaras to give life to this story that even God embraces and cherishes eternally.
