Fantastic cinematography made more sinister by being shot in black and white.
I liked the constant understated reference to all the steps in Italy and the Inspector Clouseau type Inspector. I think there is a lot of subtle comedy, but you have to concentrate to pick up on it.
Andrew Scott is fantastic and I much prefer his portrayal of Ripley to Matt Damon's.
I have seen some reviews that say it is too slow. I think we are so used to so many fast paced frenetic shows and technology, it does feel slower, but I much prefer it as it gives you time to appreciate the brilliant camera work. I would call it a work of art.
