It's not perfect, however it is VASTLY SUPERIOR(!!!) to the second film. The second film had too much tonal conflict and a miscast villian(woody). I expected so little and almost didn't watch the 3rd film because of the 2nd film. However I felt myself enjoying it the most out of the 3 films, and asking myself how people could hate this film. My only gripe was a weak villian yet again but there were still stakes involved. I liked the characters, their motivations, the pacing,and the story. Minus 1 star for 1st act and doctor's character motivation. My ranking of the 3: 3 1 2

Pure garbage!!!!!!! Inferior to the first. So cliche. So boring. So formulaic, and by the numbers. I'm watching and had to calm myself down at the halfway mark, this trash is 2h 8m long lol. The formula is this 2/3 of the movie is boring creepy imagery, screaming, and nothing basically really happening until the third act. Besides the opening I almost fell asleep multiple times. Protagonist is boring, like the movie. She's also dumb. I'm going to keep trusting what I see repeatedly, despite it keep turning out to be fake outs. The constant screaming hurt my ears too. Keep the remote in your hand if you decide to torture yourself after reading my review. The first one was vastly superior. It had better characters, better writing/story overall, and had more deaths. The sequel focuses on a single person, hurting the story and death count. I truly don't know if I'll finish this crap, or maybe I'll just fast forward until the end. I'm sick of fake outs and screaming. I may just rewatch the first one again, to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

This has got to be a comedy. I rewatched this after watching the God awful American remake. Spoilers: I remembered not liking the film but forgot why. I enjoyed the characters, the story,and subtle suspense building up, until the 3rd act. Then it all came flooding back to me why I hated the movie overall. 2 grown adults let someone stone them to death and cut out their daughter's tongue and kidnap their daughter, without even fighting back. The villains didn't even use GUNS LOL!!! When they stoned the parents, they were so far apart the parents could have ran but nope. Just accept death and don't fight back. Minus the daughter losing her tongue scene, I was laughing hysterically. 2 grown adults were that weak and docile. Still 10 times better than the American remake, just be prepared for the bs 3rd act that'll either p you off or will make you laugh.

Only mild spoilers: I've seen the original , and only remember the ending/visiting people being so annoying. This remake makes me mad because all I see is insecure, judgmental visitors/Americans. From the moment they get there all the wife does is b and moan and judge their hospital hosts. I found myself rooting for the bad guys because they weren't trying to be politically correct or holier than thou. They were just unapologetically themselves and I respect that in today's fake and superficial society/world as an American. The only time I liked the visiting couple was when they were discussing the texts. Every other second they judged the hosts 24/7. I can't stand judgmental people. The wife was the worst.

Spoilers: 1) Feministic crap ruins the original, since this is supposedly a prequel. Nearly identical to the original, but has feminist main character. This would take place more in the 1970s due to the feminism. It ruins the original due to the timeline. Rosemary's a timid, quiet churchmouse submissive 1950s housewife but Terry is all career oriented girl power boss chick, despite being born in a similar culture? Why didn't they just make it a sequel set in the 1970s? 2) Just watch the original. Personally I can't stand Terry or Rosemary, but I understand and respect that due to the time period the original was profound at time of release. At least Rosemary's baby was original. This was just a knock off copy cat. 3) Boring and weird. Makes you realize how goofy the original was too in some ways. A bunch of senior citizens who should be in Florida somewhere, instead devil worshipping 🤣🤣🤣

Spoilers: To save you time. 1) A 10 year old could have written a better story. Boring and predictable. 2) It only proves how SOME women can't accept responsibility for their actions. Crazy mom rather blame fake grey man than admit she's a nut job about to hurt her daughters. 3) Modern horror movies suck due to mommy/daddy issues. Remember when horror was a slasher? Killer? and occasionally psychological? 4) Last 31 minutes were super boring. I was cheering when I saw the credits.
