I’ve been an avid fan since I was 5. However im rather disappointed. After receiving a game as revolutionary and well received as Legends Arceus I don’t know how it made sense to them to not take the extra time to implement more of the mechanics from it. It feels like a chore to catch Pokémon in this game. Why would I want to stop and enter the battle animation just to weaken something like a Psyduck that would’ve been a quick throw and catch in Legends? I get things like crafting wouldn’t make much sense in present day but at least give us better catching.
And I’m aware the graphics are bad in pretty much all Pokémon games… but I swear they weren’t this bad in SW/SH or even Arceus… I feel like I’m playing in an average of 10FPS the majority of the game.
And lastly… THE HANDHOLDING. They say it’s not “geared for kids” like people accuse it of being… so why is it I’ve been playing for HOURS and still feeling like
I’m in the tutorial stage????
The Pokémon series needs some major changes and refreshers but unfortunately they haven’t felt the need to work on those since people seem to buy the games regardless. Legends Arceus wasn’t perfect either but was a step in the right direction, whereas this feels like we took 5 steps backwards
