I like Ari, Nicole and especially Rachel. I watched "The Beat" tonight and saw Biden's economic guru (Ari's description) give his Sarah Huckabee Sanders' pitch. He almost made me throw up with his responses, refusing to talk about Joe Manchin after Ari gave him two shots at it. The guy spouted about "computer chips" (Old News) and talked about jobs as if for all the world everything was rosy - what a complete political hack he was, totally unbelievable. Makes me think of abandoning democrats if this is all they have to offer. He was totally not credible and couldn't stop talking in fear of the next probing question from Ari, who ended the interview gracefully, much more than I would have done. I felt like telling him to wake up. Like many, I despair at the state of our democracy and in my retirement I am considering just not listening to politics any more as I approach the last phase of my life. I am so angry, day upon day, at how everything just gets worse and worse, cops who don't do their jobs, abortion, Jan 6th, Supreme Court, Climate control, kids dying, guns, you name it. Nothing gets done. My wife and I, our children with their own families are considering moving somewhere if things continue to get worse. We're all taking about it. Leave our state to the ever growing numbers of crazies, people who cannot think for themselves and pose a serious threat to the rest of us. Maybe take a holiday in Spain until the 2024 elections are over. I hope it doesn't come to that but time is running out and we would like to spend our last few years enjoying our garden, catching up on a few novels and maybe painting a picture or sailing a boat or fishing. That is if the country doesn't have another civil war.
