The new predator movie (Prey) is pretty bad. Its not as bad as the Predator but still bad. The biggest fault is a movie that once again doesnt do the Predator right. Instead of a stealthy intelligent hunter its instead a big dumb brawler. It was a good idea but poorly executed. The acting was honestly good, I have no gripes with the actors but the writing is just awful. Its a boring slog to get anywhere and by time you do the really poor choreography and the stupidity of the Yautja itself just really pulls you out of it. I really am not a fan. Truly the biggest gripe is the lack of a threat in this movie. The predator is known for being a hunter first and foremost but they fight like this is a marvel movie, just coming up and punching everything with little thought. I may have a bias towards the more original movies and if youve never seen those you might enjoy this more then me.
