Poorly executed movie. Midhun Manuel Thomas yet again fails to deliver a proper thriller. Excess spoon-feeding has made this movie a terrible experience. Jayaram has nothing to do and Mammootty's character becomes the pivotal role by the second half of the movie. The flashback scenes of Krishna Das are the worst part of the movie. Made me hate the song "Poomaaname". There are several loose ends and the acting of Jayaram and Arjun Ashokan were terrible to watch. I would say it's the failure of Midhun, not the cast. The "Ozlereeey" part was very irritating and I wondered why the creator trying to push the character's name into the audience.

The movie is a visual treat indeed, from the unusual camera angles, and how the director tried to add friction into the scenes. The title work, 'vanyam' is outstanding. Moor as the tribal boy did a wonderful job. Glad that he could make the most out of the character given. Tovino's performance as Shaji was praiseworthy. The director succeeded in giving a shady impression to every other character, throughout the film. The plot lacks depth towards the end mostly because the movie doesn't explain why the supporting cast acts so, or in other words, the way they act lacks sense. The family becomes a mere audience expressing confusion and simply walking throughout the scene. Kudos to the team for the experimental movie making.

A below-par flick from Kunchako mainly due to poor screenwriting. Couldn't find any delightful element. Jinu (kostheppu) delivered a fair performance. Apart from that, none of the characters had a depth or memorable performance. Binu Pappu (Krishnadas) was struggling on the screen to portray his role, irritating at times. Naseer (Gulan) had a disappointing performance, especially since we know his humour timing and execution. Not sure why Sabareesh even acted in this. Most of the female characters were of little or no use. None of them had a considerable role in the story, except the main lead and Divya (councilor). Same with the hero's sidekicks. Felt that the characters were underused. Kunchakko failed to impress. The movie could have been a better one if the characters had a meaning. The movie had the potential to utilise a multilayered narrative built around the main theme. I wonder why people like Chemban didn't get it when he has experience working in movies with LJP or Dileesh. He must have seen sensible performances of actors such as Fahed, Vinay fort or Vinayakan. It was disappointing.

Went to watch this with high expectations. PLOT Very thoughtless plot with a cliche touch everywhere. From the hero's character development to investigation scenes. And it extends till climax. Nothing fresh or sensible. Not sure what era the movie was based on. Very illogical approach from the story writer. The lack of background study was seen throughout the story. 0.5/5 BACKGROUND SCORE Felt below average. At some point, the BGM was terrible. Ex. The chasing cook's scenes. 1/5 SONGS Unfortunately, the songs couldn't connect with the plot properly. Felt inappropriately placed between the story. Not impressive either. 1/5 EDITING AND FRAMEWORKS Focused on the hero than the actual movie's plot. The editing wasn't good as expected. Except for the trailer work.
