Found myself completing "Gram Chikitsalay" over a couple of viewing sessions. It offers a commendable depiction of the realities faced in numerous remote Indian villages today. In stark contrast to much of contemporary mainstream Hindi cinema and television, which can often feel overly simplistic or driven by agendas and become unwatchable within minutes, this series from the TVF team continues their track record of quality. They consistently manage to present authentic situations through relatable stories, infused with genuine emotion.
The series feels like a worthy follow-up to "Panchayat." The performances across the board were exceptional, delivered by a cast largely unfamiliar to mainstream audiences. It was interesting to learn subsequently that these actors are highly qualified and formally trained. TVF deserves praise for their continued good work in this space. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment.
