I highly recommend this book for anyone who has been told they are hypothyroid. I was diagnosed as hypothyroid in 2007 and put on with Levothyroxine, a “T4” only medication. Once my TSH level was “within normal range” I was pronounced “fine”. But I wasn’t fine, I was still tired and depressed. After 10 years of this ineffective treatment I was desperate for help and realized conventional medicine was useless to me.
Fortunately, I found Paul Robinson’s books and from his personal experience and his exhaustive research I learned how to determine what I needed to know. For example, through this process I learned I had a gene mutation which interfered with my body’s ability to convert “T4” to the active “T3” that the cells in my body needed. It was instead being converted to the inactive “reverse T3”.
I started ordering my own lab work and verified I had low “free T3” and extremely high “reverse T3”. I learned from Paul that what I needed was to take Liothyronine, a “T3” only medication. I started it nearly 18 months ago and it has been a lifesaver! Thank you Paul Robinson!
