Why every Indian background movie has to be where parents are a joke and kids are smarty pants. It’s bit annoying to see the girl working on a computer at each wedding they attend. And suddenly they get teary eyes over a melodramatic speech.
If this is what they think Indians live in America it’s a shame.
The whole movie is trying to achieve something similar to “Never I have ever” type Indian culture but it never came closer.
It’s a long way to go to come up with meaningful cultural content. But there is a hope.
