While Sticker Star and Color Splash were both awful, this game was so addictive for me. Only Paper Mario game in modern style that I like.
Finally an unique villain, King Olly, instead of Bowser.
King Olly wants to refold the world into Origami and destroy all Toads.
For once, saving Toads aren't useless. In Sticker Star, doing these is optional, but in this game, it's useful for the crowd to heal you, damage enemies and more.
The bosses musics are also too good, and that's one of the reason I got this game.
While some people hate how the bosses are simple Office Supplies, they got very good personalities. Hole Puncher is a dancer, Colored Pencil is an artist (As he has drawn stuff on Overlook Tower), and Stapler is King Olly's dog, it doesn't even talk (dogs only bark, not talk like humans) and his battle theme seems to have the dog barks as well.
Beating the Paper Machos on Scuffle Island is not only satisfying but it also gives you a lot of coins. Only one I hated so much is the Paper Macho Paratroopa.
For once you don't have to use these awful Thing stickers/cards to defeat bosses, instead having to use 1,000 Folded Arms/Vellumental Circles which you don't have to buy at all, making the boss fights more fun.
