It as masterpiece, gem of a movie in Indian cinema, depicts the story of golden era of football in India, and very close to all Bengalis, Most importantly every casting chosen for the movie for real character is so so accurate that one can hardly believe that they are watching a movie not the real footballers.. the movie is really well crafted well executed, how I spend 3 hrs totally being glued to the screen , i myself don't know . There's a one such movie Chak de India and now Maidaan, which will be remembered forever in Indian cinema, And the Mirza song by Richa Sharma and Javed ali, composed by the great AR Rehman... Uff it's like Amrit to ears...it reminds the quawalis sung by Lata Mangeshkar and acted by Rekha, those days...
