Extraction is similar to John wick, in that its a high octane action flick constructed on a wafer thin story line. The quality of action scenes are also on par with John Wick movies (not a surprise that this movie too is directed by a stunt coordinator), the highlight being the 11 minutes long 'supposed' no cut action sequence. If you are willing to ignore the 'almost non existent' story and occasional plot holes, you'll enjoy this 'full of action' thrill ride. ***/5 (watch it with the right expectations).

The movie Parasite just like any piece of art, is open for interpretation with it's subtle and nuanced social commentary disguised as a dark comedy. It's a satirical take on the class divide that's so prevalent not just in Korean society but world wide (which makes this story appeal to a global audience). Is it the best movie of the year? I don't know. Is it worth a watch? Definitely yes!

The Witcher The first episode does enough to draw you in and the following episodes do not disappoint. Henry Cavill remains stone faced for most of the show (which works perfectly for his character). There are multiple strong female characters portrayed who all do a good job. The CGI while not spectacular is still good enough to not distract you from the show. The music although not catchy, manages to complement the show well. The non linear story telling and frequent jumps to different places may confuse you if you are not paying attention. The tonal shifts between drama and humour is not always smooth. The character development could have been done a little better. As someone who's never read the book or played the game, I found it to be a good show to watch on Netflix at home. (and yes, there's nudity) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5

My 2 cents on the new movie - Joker Joker is not your 'run of the mill' DC movie. It's a character study of arguably the world's greatest villain and his journey into madness. While I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and will rate this up there with The Dark Knight as the best DC movie ever, I can also see how some people may have issues with this movie. Make no mistake, this movie is not for the faint-hearted. It's raw, disturbing and pulls no punches in its portrayal of Arthur's (Joker) insanity. Also, what stood out is the fact that DC allowed this to be a standalone movie and didn't feel the need to tie this to a franchise (which I feel would have been a terrible choice). If you are a joker fan or a DC fan, you'll enjoy this ride to the dark side of Joker's insane mind. For non DC fans, be warned as it may leave you disturbed if you are not prepared
