It offered closure for the Jesse story. After what he had gone through in his life and the lessons I believe he did learn, I wanted him to end up with a clean slate and start his life over again. The final scene of the open expanse of Alaska was a perfect metaphor for what is possible for his life it is a clean slate. Vince Gilligan is a master storyteller.
