As a survivor of domestic abuse, this documentary resonated strongly with me. It was difficult to watch at times because it reminded me of what I experienced, though not as horrific.
I take issue with those who are attacking the victims. Do some research. A previous bandmember and roadie admitted to witnessing what Brian Warner did and spoke out against it. Even some of his own interviews have been laced with blatant misogyny. His vile and violent reputation precedes him and has been witnessed by many, not just the victims.
Shaming victims who are legitimately scared for their lives, (which is the reason why it took them such a long time to come forward), is nothing but a poorly constructed smear campaign in an attempt to discredit them.
I don't care how much I like an artist's music--if they're an abusive, hateful, misogynist--I stop supporting them and I sure as hell won't attack the victims they abused.
