Stumbled upon this show by chance and it turned out to be some of the best TV I’ve watched in a while. The cast are all great including the supporting roles. The script is awesome, it flows well the characters are believable and most importantly it’s engaging. There are points where Mary, Gary or his daughter say the simplest of things and it sells the story. This team knows when to say the funny quirky thing, the realistic dramatic moments and when just to STFU and just let silence do the talking. Yes, I guess it’s a horror/thriller show with supernatural bits, but for me it’s the that whole genre at its best, it’s a great story that happens to have supernatural elements and not a supernatural core with a story bolted on. If you stripped out the supernatural from this show I’d still happily watch it.
