A few days ago, when I scrolled Twitter, passed someone post about this movie and he lives in Tokyo. I read his reply and mention (currently) only appears on Japan Netflix. He wrote the slice of life mini-series about the mid-age gay couple problem.
Catchy for me! Nah, I search on my Netflix, and voila appear on the result. Total 12 episodes, each episode around 29 minutes.
The main character Shiro is a lawyer, and his partner's name is Kenji, a hairdresser. Shiro's problem appears when his colleagues gossiping about him, and when Shiro met with a neighbor and how the neighbor calls him gay. The warmth and felt despondent we can feel from Shiro or as his parents and the funny scene when Shiro brings Kenji to his parents on New Year.
Kenji's extrovert and wanna do as a gay couple, wear wedding rings, sip coffee at a cute coffee shop, talk with people about his daily life with his partner. Wear colorful clothes, spoil, and jealousy!
Every day Shiro will cook dinner for them, a simple dinner, and mention the recipe and technique.
For me, this heart-melting, drama genre brings me to how the communications, honestly, connecting with parents or your past really make you become what you are now. How you look at the future with your partner and take it as it comes as your partner package.
Japan style how the daily life as Japanese, etiquette on the dining table, meet people and don't expect with kisses or something romantic mid-age gay couple.
Worthy to watch it and fast pace each episode.
