I thought it was brilliant! The back story was for us to determine for ourselves through their behaviour and interaction with each other. In fact the strangers that arrived to retrieve their belongings had children and families and we're in fact betrayed by their friend who disappear with the case. The film has so many different dimensions to it that we would need the director to explain it to us. And even then I think you could read more from it. All 3 actors gave an outstanding performance and Gerard Butler out did himself.
