before I fall was honestly a great book! If you liked 13 reasons why it kinda gives off vibes like that because at the end of the book, the main character is changed forever. At first Sam annoyed me so much and I hated her but her character growth throughout the book was honestly amazing. Seeing Sam's perspective on her life change and become more meaningful was kinda inspiring and opened my eyes a little bit. I also really saw the theme of the importance of life/living and your mental health really stressed in this book. I also liked it because you knew what was going to happen but you also didnt. In books like 13 reasons why, and they both die at the end, you know they're gonna die and its really about their life and what they do before they die. In this book however, even though you know Sam does die, you don't know if she permanently dies at the end or ends up living her life, which is why I liked it. It's also giving groundhog day and happy death day lol

I really liked it! Poppy is such a great mc and I love hawke too. Sooo I keep seeing on booktok that people kinda refer to it as "vampire" romance and trust me if I had seen that NEVER would've read it, but its not really a vampire romance lol it somewhat gives vampireish vibes but not rlly honestly its kinda like more fae and mortal vs evil zombies and vampire(craven, ascended, descenders) but yeah I really liked it. Poppy is strong and can definitely defend herself even if it doesnt show ar first

I loved ACOTAR (the whole series). The romance and fantasy element was great! For me, what made me so immersed in the entire ACOTAR world was the characters. I mean I know so many people have VERY strong feelings towards certain characters and you know the writer has done such a good job if they make you feel that way. Love the tropes and character growth. I love feysand and Tamlin was always getting on my last nerve. The thing about Amarantha, though, is that I feel like she was super glorified just to turn out to be a seemingly basic villain. I mean yeah, she had the whole trauma with her sister but other than that, her character wasn't really explored other than the fact that she's super evil and powerful and everyone hates her. Also the whole riddle thing was really dumb. Why would you risk ALL of your power to some illiterate 19 year old girl??? Don't get me wrong, I love Feyre but she irritated me at times. But anyways, I think ACOTAR is worth it and you should definitely read it

I was so excited to see Az & nesta and this book because I love ACOTAR with all my heart. I was honestly dissapointed bc az and nesta were in there for maybe like 50 pages and a couple scenes and thats literally it. I think Lidia having sons is fine but I couldn't look at her the same way again lol. I also think it's really cool that she's actually descended from Brannon and Aelin from TOG I didn't think it was canon until I actually read this book. Also, is nobody talking about the whole thing when Aidas said that "Urd" is the same thing as "Wyrd" aka. basically the basis of the TOG world, which shows that he's from the TOG world?? I'm pretty sure she's gonna do a multiverse crossover in the next acotar books and I'm super excited. The book isn't a waste of time, you kinda have to read it but don't expect anything mind-blowing or crazy to happen, its not. Basically, to sum it up, it was very underwhelming and not what I expected

definitely should read if you love fantasy.. The plot development was CHEF'S KISS,and aelin's character development is crazy, I don't even know how Sarah J Maas did it. I feel like NOBODY expected that plot twist in Tower of Dawn. (SPOILER) And people would have found out in Kingdom of Ash when Aelin scrapes Maeve's cheek and sees her blood is black for a split second. The fighting scenes are pretty repetitive throughout the book but are still really good. There's a lot more Dorian and Manon in this book and it was really inspiring to read about how Aelin's spirit never broke even while she was being brutally tortured. My only thing abt this series is that I feel like there could've been a little bit more loss which would've been more realistic and dont get me wrong Gavriel and the Thirteen dying was really sad but i definitely think Lysandra could've died to make this a little bit more relistic based on the battle. One of my only complaints is that I feel like her being trained by the king of assasins wasnt really relevant and should've been something that she was able to rely on but instead it wasn't like arobynn was a bit glorified only to learn that he wasnt even that good

i had kinda high expectations for love & luck because i thought it would be a cute romance like love & gelato. I don't think the book is bad, I just don't think it should be a sequel for love & gelato, because it puts you under the impression that this is a romance. It's not. I think it should be a stand alone book with like different characters (different names, same personality) and it's more about kind of healing with heartbreak and healing relationships

*spoiler* I really liked this book! It was plot twist after plot twist and many secrets uncovered each chapter. Karen McManus has a habit of putting romance in her murder mystery novels, but I'm not complaining. I actually really loved how Brynn and Tripp's relationship developed, and how Tripp fell first. It does end on a completely random cliff hanger though, and it kind of leaves you confused on what actually happened to Mr. Larkin.

I liked the book! It was interesting to see how the author thought out Simon's death, and how you found out secrets about each of the characters as the plot unfolded. Also, it's interesting how the author always some type of romance in the book. It's kind of like a classic style for the author. I rate this a 4 because the book was good, but it wasn't exciting. It didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, or just make me nervous, excited or scared, like other thrillers I've read. The author is good at keeping you wondering though, about who killed Simon. But honestly, I find that with Karen McManus books, you find that the end or the villain doesn't always make complete sense, because it's written really quickly and kind of rushed. (This book if good if you don't like super scary or intense thrillers/muder mysterys)
