Terribly cliched characters, the plot was ridiculous and it's ultimate resolution was all too quick. The author also clearly hadn't run the book past any police or criminal lawyers because the way the crime was investigated just doesn't happen. I don't expect a documentary, but police don't abduct children to try and get confessions!

This is a pretty sad film. Timothee Chalamat and Selina Gomez do a great job reworking the typical Woody Allen roles, but there is nothing original here. The same characters, with the same types of stories and jokes that Woody Allen has been making since the 1970s. Woody Allen has copped a lot of criticism of the past few years but his biggest problem is that he has run out of ideas.
