I hardly write movie reviews, but as someone who has followed Sofia Carson's movies for quite some time, I must say this isn't her best work. I struggled to relate to the chemistry between the lead actors. It seemed like they were trying too hard to prove it. Again, the plot progressed too quickly with a lot of loopholes, leaving room for many questions. I mean, how did they go from somewhat hating each other to kissing and having their own 'spot'? Cecilia went from acting like a love interest and looking like she wanted Anna to back off 'her man' to becoming a family friend and the "only" person who could understand Jamie's sickness. There was no further insight into the cancer that affected two siblings and eventually took their lives. Jamie went from not speaking to his father at all to becoming so close, as if the years that passed and the big void between them closed magically. I agree that the latter is possible, but a little background and exploration could have helped the audience follow. Overall, the movie is good for passing time, but it is not something I would like to watch all over again.
