Warm and Cozy started off as a lighthearted, funny, and romantic drama that seemed promising in the first few episodes. I was drawn in by its easygoing vibe, the beautiful scenery of Jeju Island and the charm of the male lead, but unfortunately, it quickly took a frustrating turn. The male lead, despite being played by Yeon-seok whom I really like, was incredibly annoying in this role. His character was a total jerk-constantly playing with the female lead’s feelings, leading her on, and keeping her emotionally stuck until the very last episode. It was hard to root for their relationship when he made it clear that his heart still belonged to his first love, yet the female lead continued to hang around, ignoring every red flag. To make things worse, she wasn’t exactly innocent either. Her actions towards the mayor made it hard to feel any real sympathy for her. Speaking of the mayor, I honestly think she should have chosen him—there was more genuine connection there and it would have spared everyone from all the unnecessary drama. As for chemistry between the main leads? Non-existent. The romantic spark just wasn’t there, which made the entire love story fall flat. Sure, the drama gave us a happy ending (technically), but it didn’t feel earned or satisfying.
