Tara V

This show was one of the most uncreative and badly written shows I have ever seen. It was basically just a line up of cliches and stereotypes. It was so culturally insensitive, the way the French were portrayed was boring and stereotypical not to mention straight up offensive and there was nothing humorous or witty about the show to justify these portrayals. I would have hoped something this bland and disappointing didn't make it to the most watched shows on Netflix but it did which speaks volumes about the general population's cultural knowledge. In the show Emily gets made fun of for being white trash but she literally is white trash who basically gets her way because she is self-entitled and good looking. I hope people don't actually believe that self-entitled white privilege who cannot pronounce a single French word can go and slay Paris because she is another 'forward thinking influencer'. Building a career in a different cultural climate should hopefully require far more skill and cultural sensitivity for anyone in the real world.
