I loved Peter Jacksons Lord of the Rings Trilogy but Rings of Power I found distasteful. There was no character in the show that I liked or cared for in the slightest even after hours and hours of story. The protagonist Galadrial came across as an horrible person. The writing is sloppy , the actors seem like they are straight from a soap opera. Some of the CGI looks good but the show has such terrible dialogue I find myself dozing off in the middle of the episode. The writers keep pulling material/characters/speeches straight from Peter Jacksons LOR, trying to tie their forgettable mess to a classic work of art. I am left leaning politically but I find the woke-ness so strong in the episodes that it becomes unbearable cringe.The directors seem unable to help themselves from inserting messaging into their works, All the men in this show are portrayed as idiots. example - the soldier men of Numenor don't even know how to fight without a woman showing them. The Soldiers Don't Know How To Fight! Stupid political chatter in the middle of the show about elves taking away mens jobs when theres one elf on the island trying to tie in current politics - just nonsensical garbage. The set piece battles seem small. Elves are not graceful anymore, elf built towers fall down if they are not held together with twine, The water activating a volcano seemed beyond stupid. Everyone surviving a pyroclastic flow seemed stupid. Harfoots abandoning hurt fellows was stupid, fake gandolf banned from camp because a tree fell on a girl seemed stupid. Mystery box storytelling is not the way Tolkein wrote his books, he wrote an interesting story that swept you along with the tale - following characters as they are challenged by amazing events. Not idiotic episode chatter about nothing.... When you make Sauron and Adar the most sympathetic character of Middle Earth something is wrong. Tolkein wrote in a time where there was cleanly defined good and evil, not like a game of thrones study with characters of muddy morals.. I just can't take it anymore.
