3 words: Absolute Cinematic Masterpiece. Great for both kids and adults alike. Pete Davidson was fantastic as Marmaduke. His line delivery was on-point and you can really feel the emotion put into it every time Marmaduke would speak. Guy Hilton was really another focal point in the movie and without his presence, the movie would have been sort of bland, if you will. I wish there was some sort of poster or body pillow I could have in my room. I want to be able to wake up and see Guy Hilton every morning and think to myself, "Damn, I really want to look just like him!" Another thing that makes Marmaduke so great is the comedy. Between Guy's "not so great-dane" and the Fighting Championship, the comedy in the movie really completed it. The part where Marmaduke farted had me rolling on the floor and had me experiencing severe abdominal pain. The pain was so severe, I almost had a moment where I felt like Marmaduke in the movie. The comedy in this movie will surely have both children and adults getting a fine chuckle out of it. Another amazing aspect of this movie is the animation. The moment I sat down to watch this movie, I was expecting your average children's animation film. Oh boy, was I proven wrong. I have never in my years of living and film watching seen such crisp, clean, and beautiful animation. One example of this is the fight scene between Marmaduke and Guy Hilton in the local park. It starts off like every cliche fight scene: the standoff with the background adding effects to it. It was a normal fight for about the first 30 seconds until IT happened. Guy Hilton levitates off the ground and unleashes what can only be described as the quintessence of 2022 cinema. Guy Hilton summons lighting bolts and successfully defeats Marmaduke. The animation in this scene had me literally on the edge of my seat. I was eating my popcorn and fell because of how on the edge I was. It was quite a mess to clean up, but the scene was well worth the pain. To sum this up, Marmaduke should be considered when pondering what movie you should watch next. It's great for people of all ages and it sure to provide you with the comedy you know you have been looking for. I want to thank Netflix for making this possible. This will surely go down in history as a classic and will be looked upon by generations and generations as an example of peak cinema. They have truly raised the bar and it will be hard to surpass what Marmaduke has accomplished. Thank you Netflix and most importantly, thank you, Pete Davidson. Salutations everyone! Happy Trails!
