horrific movie. it’s highly offensive in the way it was written. we shouldn’t normalize thinking that some people wouldn’t be noticed simply because they aren’t fitting into our loose generational expectations, and i think that it’s glazing over the fact that catfishing is a repulsive act. it’s very wrong to deceive others of who you are, and honestly you shouldn’t be afraid to display who you are. if anything, this show is providing more foundation for people to become even more painfully aware and self conscious of their appearance, and isn’t focusing on how certain aspects of this film are only going to make people experience more body dysphoria.
