Ding Dong – Google

So the train was hurtling through the night, it suddenly seemed to lurch and all the characters ended up on the floor. They all got up looking dazed but lo a teacup and saucer hadn’t budged from the table that a couple of them were clinging onto. Amateurish at best. Joe the cop knew he was being hunted as a fugitive with his description going out as him wearing a black and red jacket. He knew this but decided to keep it on as he ran from carriage to carriage presumably to help his fellow cops looking for him. Badly acted, silly scenes, overhyped.

I was really expecting more ska/2 tone music but instead got a mish mash of music from that era (and some not). Anyway it was just ok. Thought Michelle docherty was wrongly cast. She’s too twee and pretty to be playing an alcoholic-I mean smudged mascara on a couple of occasions doesn’t really cut it. Rest were good. The end concert was way too ‘nice’ everyone up on stage and the group itself consisting of all the family members??!! Plus why did no one seem particularly bothered about ira being in their midst and casually going about their business?

I’ve never left a review for a book. This I bought from Amazon. The thickness of the book indicated that there wasn’t much to it. All my books are circulated around family-this one won’t be and here’s why- the premise of the story is good-bullied boy and possibly bullied family. Sadly the actual story itself was anything but nerve wracking/suspenseful/edge of seat etc etc. . It could have been so much more but , without giving too much away , there were a couple of incidents involving the son and some extremely flat incidents involving the mother and father. The bulk of the story is a monologue of feelings and thoughts from the parents perspective. Some have said a jaw dropping moment ending-yes in the fact it seemed rushed and entirely unbelievable. Just so you know what’s going on it’s literally written down for you at the end. It could have been family on family, good v bad, incidents a plenty. Scary moments. But it’s none of that.
