I didn't really get it... Why were her mother's friends such oddities at the beginning of the film but then didn't appear in it again? Was it all in her head or not? I don't mind it being low budget, but some kind of conclusion that made sense would be nice. It feels like it was trying to be arty but it didn't really come off.
