A psychological mystery with insightful looks at human nature and weaknesses. Cate Blanchett excels in her roll of a tortured mother and wife. Klein's broken father and husband is pathetic and disturbing. The way the narrative unfolds and exposes this layered plot line is outstanding.

The premier had some strong performances but some plot twists were in large part incredulous. Promising but still not completely sold. Very gory and disturbing...not for the squeamish or easily offended.

There's nothing compelling or interesting in this film noir. The script and plot are contrived and boring. The acting is flat and a lot of wasted talent. Don't waste your time.

Very entertaining movie loosely based on the adventures of a real life teacher who moonlights for NOLA PD as a fake hitman that snowballs into troubled romance. Good script and acting.

Wonderful movie about family and redemption.

Another great film from O'Russel with a disturbing historical plot at it's center. Bale, Washington, and Robbie all put in great campy performances in line with atmosphere of the period. The supporting cast including DeNiro are also excellent. Modern day comparisons are obvious but don't distract from the storyline.

Well acted but extremely dark and depressing. A better title would be "Thanksgiving from Hell".

While the ending of this touching film may be unlikely, it still is a very enjoyable movie with some great performances by Timberlake and young, Burdette.

A promising sci-fi series takes a nose dive for the final 3 episodes with too many loose ends and unexplained plot twists.
