The book was great overall. But as a new mother to twins, this was extremely hard to read and I hugged my babies tight. Some parts of the book made me sick to my stomach and want to cry, especially (*spoiler ahead*) When the author very vividly explained the way Verity first tried to kill Harper. I almost stopped reading the book there but I was too intrigued. Thankfully that was the worst of it although there were other parts that were hard to read as well.
