Claims they are honest about everything yet Ben has a pre schemed planned to involve his kids in stealing from a grocery store. Also he openly lies to his father in-law about his adolescent son's climbing injury. Open hatred for Christianity as well. Ben is a horrible person, he obviously drove his wife to suicide and has no problem pressuring his kids in the same way. All to hold on to his far left ideology. Horrible movie about a horrible person. BTW not realistic at all about survival living. They would not have nearly that much free time if they were truly living off the land. Also mortality rate is very high for this life style. Probably 2 or 3 children out of 6 would not live to teenage years under those conditions. This was so obviously a communist/anti-capitalism propaganda movie. Ben's biggest flaw, which is most liberals, no respect for other view points or opinions. They're definition of a fascist was basically nationalist. Horrible movie!
