It's boring, too long for what it is, and heavily gassed up by social media influencers. You have people who are saying its "oh, so scary", but I ultimately wonder what they got from this. Horror is supposed to stick with you beyond the run time of the film and I honestly forgot what the movie was even about or what happened throughout (perfect for those who hate spoilers). I think they used a Ouija board, at one point in the film, but I don't remember. The only good horror film that involved a Ouija board was Ouija: Origin of Evil. The reason Ouija: Origin of Evil was so good is because they used some Lovecraftian elements in the story, which I found refreshing. Not a lot of horror movies produced by major studios use Lovecraftian philosophy in their films, and I sincerely want there to be more of it. For those wondering what I mean by Lovecraftian elements, I mean a well-executed inclusion of an unknown threat lingering in the background and pulling the strings. It's named after the father of cosmic horror, HP Lovercraft, who thought that knowable dangers didn't hold a candle to the unknown. While this film does have arguably Lovecraftian elements, there's no hint as to what they're up against. The hook is what draws attention to the threat and there was no hook. In Ouija: Origin of Evil, there was a journal that detailed what someone saw just before dying and how the threat manifested there, to begin with. It wasn't a bad movie to the point of it being a comedy, but it wasn't a fun watch.
