In this book, a collection from 2014, Ms Toumanova writes from her experiences teaching and dancing the Argentine Tango. In her spare, matter-of-fact way she lists many of the common foibles of tango dancers and students and analyzes the why's. The essays are short and well-written in simple sometimes colorful language. As a dancer and teacher myself, I easily related to the content and her conclusions. If you dance or teach Argentine tango, or are interested in embarking on the exerience of it, you should get this book. I will be getting her new collection of Why Tango essays from 2015-2019 soon. By the way, my copy of this book was somehow published backwards, so it reads from last page to first, back to front, but once realized, it is no problem to read.
