I too remember the campaign run by both sides of the argument, prior to the referendum. I remember the leave campaigns red bus with the slogan of how much money could be given to the NHS if the UK left the EU. This was an attempt to completely mislead the general public and was proven to be so. However, what I do not remember is any mention during this campaign regarding the border between the Republic of Ireland and Norther Ireland. Yet this has become the major cause of concern and the sticking point, of the whole concept of Brexit. Why no body thought of this as a constitutional problem amazes me. What should have happened is, that David Cameron should have been more forceful in his negotiations with the EU prior to the referendum to get a better deal for the UK to stay in the EU. Instead of which he put forward for the referendum, which was held and when it went against his wishes, resigned. A decision which had plunged this country into a complete spit of opinion. I am sure he regrets his actions, but it is too late, the horse has bolted.
