I absolutely adore this book!!! It's the kind of book you can read over and over again, and it's written in a diary format so the plot moves along quickly. I wouldn't suggest it if you don't enjoy historical fiction, but if you enjoy historical fiction this is for you. This book charmingly represents the joys and pitfalls of being a young teenage girl in the Middle ages, and is relatable even to a modern reader. Catherine is hilarious and witty. I would like to add that this book is targeted to preteens and teenagers. This book isn't that naughty per se, but some of the references could be considered inappropriate for young children.
