Woman empowerment: a strong powerful theme at this modern age. Expected more on this theme, was disappointed as it is still a hero centric movie despite having a catchy singapenne song. Wish the director had dwelled more into the theme and portray the struggles of women trying to achieve their dreams in their daily lives. It would have more relatable to almost everyone, as either they are living it, or they watching others living it. So it is a rather normal masala movie.

I’m very picky when it comes to watching movie. I rather take hours to select a movie to watch than watch something which I would definitely regret wasting my time on. After a few missed chances, i watched 96 on a cloudy and chill Sunday morning. Cried my way all through the end. Probably because I have been on Janu’s shoes previously. Goodbyes are difficult for me. But above that, the nuances, the emotions, scenes without dialogues are the ones which makes you feel so involved in the movie. To the point, where you would sincerely hope Janu would just give a tight hug to Ram and release the long awaited express of love and emotions. I can go on and on, but one needs to sit through the movie and feel it scene by scene. Be prepared to be left with a huge hole in the heart and a weeping face at the end! ❤️
