Cast was solid, very believable, pace was very good as I never had to wonder why it was slow or what's going to happen next or that the next episode was never going to come. It's a series of stories all weaved together, flowing from one to the next, and so at the end you never find that whatever happened before was meaningless. Also, tone was serious though sufficiently interpersed with light-hearted comedy. Considering this is the first ever Chinese drama that I had to watch with full Chinese subtitles (my previous was Ashes of Love which I believe was with English subtitles), I thoroughly enjoyed all 48 episodes of it... and believe it or not, I'm probably going to watch it again before the run ends on the channel I'm subscribing to. :))))
