Small Spoilers (End Of Spoilers near Last Paragraph) There didn’t need to be singing (but it’s a musical, so I won’t bother although I feel like it was very overused.), there didn’t need to a rape scene nor a sex scene, there didn’t need to be a Joker 2. This was the worst movie I have ever watched, genuinely. The plot was confusing, comprehensible but all over the place. This movie almost insults mental illness, portraying psychological problems as fantastical, for the most part. The ending started to reveal who Arthur really was — NOT Joker, but himself, only after being raped. It was like his second identity had to be raped out of him. In the end, he just gets killed off cheaply by a self-proclaimed psychopath which was honestly illogical, ironically even for a psychopath. Joker 2 felt insulting, disturbing, and just a commercial for Lady Gaga. End Of Spoilers For DC lovers, you will most likely not enjoy this movie at all and hate it more than I do. My date is a small DC fan and he absolutely hated it due to most of it being singing. It was a musical but it failed the point of a musical: to emphasize emotion through the movie along with music, not purely music. I don’t understand those who are insulting others for rating this low stars. Keep your opinions to yourself.
