The book attempts to put at rest the debate as to what led to India's independence; the Indian National Army raised by Netaji Bose or non-violent, peaceful struggle by Mahatma Gandhi, whose ideology in itself was a system of thought. Maj Gen G D Bakshi's strong opinions are not less accompanied by his strong words and evidences. This piece is definitely a joy for reading and can add few perspectives to our knowledge 👌. But a caution, before forming any adverse opinions regarding anyone not glorified in this book, a careful reading of other different views also is needed.
