The movie Priscilla illustrates the life that show business really is. Some "Stars" are "Chosen" because they fill a need for a lot of everyday people to believe in something and someone "bigger" than themselves---a strange, sort of escape, from everyday life---filled with "riches", "beautiful" people, tales of people traveling and living a decadent life and having it all. And these "Stars" and a lot of their entourage are the vehicle by which a lot of people can live vicariously. The very unsettling fact is that a lot of the Stars are Chosen because they reflect and live an immoral and insane type of life which usually ends in disaster and is very diffi cult to get away from or released from.
