I LOVE this show! Something unique, different, fun, but with some hidden heart to it.
I laugh - but I also feel tension waiting to see what will happen, and I squirm a bit during some of the scenes because are just so out there to almost gross sometimes, but even those have me laughing. There is some drama to add heft to the show-thus comedy-drama.
Alan Tudyk as Harry is excellent--this guy is convincing as an alien trying to fit in not only to his new 'skin' but to his alien surroundings. He's hilarious. I can't get enough of him!
Sara Tomko as Asta is excellent. She plays her part so seamlessly and low-key. Besides, the Harry character, she's my favorite. I can relate to her and want to see what her growth will be.
The deputy sheriff is quietly funny, and sad, awkward--I can almost imagine her trying not to laugh as she says her lines.
Corey Reynolds as the Sheriff is so over the top but in that fun cool way. His intensity is hilarious.
And the kid--the scenes with him and Harry crack me up. Especially once the kid isn't as afraid of him.
Yes, I'm gushing. I am so glad this is on and I hope it continues.
The other characters are fine--Asta's dad is awesome--but, I am less interested in their parts.
