Having read all of Kate Mosse's previous books I was excited to start reading The Ghost Ship when it arrived. I was very disappointed that the book had very little relevance to the previous two, with just small references to the characters, which might as well have not been there. I felt completely disconnected to the characters and couldn't even be bothered to finish reading the book. Which doesn't usually happen for me.
