I frankly don't understand why many people have given this show 1 or 2 stars. My take of this show is that The Tourist is a quirky and enjoyable mini-series that showcases the real landscapes of remote Australia. For me, the leading actors deliver compelling performances. However, the real standouts are the supporting actors who bring so much heart and humor to their roles. It is clear to me that great care was put into crafting fully fleshed-out characters at every level. What's more, the plot keeps you guessing until the very end. If you're looking for a show that transports you to a beautiful yet unfamiliar setting, with top-notch performances all around, The Tourist more than delivers. I was thoroughly entertained throughout. Highly recommended!
