I picked this book up in 2001 in Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center. I was 14 years old and waiting for court. My mom could not come cause she had to work. I was 2nd oldest twin of five children. It changed my life because I could relate to a man's life experience with addiction and childhood trauma. I was a fighter to survive at a very young age. Must read. I'll be writing my own book soon.
