I am an avid watcher of detective series both American and British. Scott and Bailey is by far, one of the best ever. Scripts, casting and the use of local sites are superb. Unlike many series, this does not simply present a crime and the outcome along with some subplots. The characters are so appropriate, there is never a dull moment in the script while often showing a bit of humor. The parallels in the professional and private lives of the characters is believable and often portrays the difficulty of balancing their lives. Acting is superb. I wish it could have gone on for many more years. A Classic!
