I didn’t think I would love 2 characters more than Daphne and Simon, but Charlotte and George take the Bridgeton love story lead! I laughed, I cheered for characters, and I cried, the last episode is full of such emotion. I was stunned by the rawness this showed into mental health and the sacrifice loved ones do for them. This show displays a window into the unknown of those times of dealing with mental illness. So beautifully done. Although it was made as a short series and the ending makes it feel like an ending. I do hope that changes and a season 2 or more-because there is so much of this story to tell. Although I know mostly fictionalized, King George III did have a mental illness of record, he and Charlotte had 15 children and very few grandchildren. George ruled for 50 years and through the Revolutionary War-there’s so much more of this story to tell!!
