This review is from the perspective of someone who grew up with the big tollywood actors. I expect the best from Allu Arjun movies. My favorite of his are Race Gurram and Julayi because not only do they have a good plot, but the actor learns something from them. That is what differentiates a good movie from a bad one: development. In Ala Vaikunthapurramloo Trivikram depends heavily on the plot, which is actually very interesting. I was hooked in the beginning! I was waiting for the moment where Allu Arjun learns and grows, but the movie portrays very little of that. It was focused on slow motion fighting (which were cool the first two times and then got boring near the end). Similarly, there were some transitions between scenes that felt forced and unprofessional. The highlight for this movie would be the songs in my opinion. Overall, I miss the epic dialogue punches that Trivikram garu has in his movies and how although the hero starts out as an amazing, kind person, he always has room to develop. I know that this might sound sappy: "Who goes to a movie for character development?" I think it is a natural byproduct of watching cinema; we want to relate to the characters because we are the heroes of our life. I just wish Ala Vaikunthapurramloo had more of this. Please don't hate, this is just my opinion :)
