Well, ok, the plot is ridiculous and some of the actors were not really trying but where this fil scores is quite simply, the Photography and Mountaineering scenes - almost certainly the best ever shot, including modern films on the same subject whom have nearly all used Green Screen and studio lots. Eiger was 100% real and it shows.
